Wild Dog Pizza
The art and science of being Tarik Dozier.
{o·q·lus} is a collection of my photographic work. I've always loved being behind the camera, but only within very recent years (beginning in 2000) have I had the necessary equipment to demonstrate any actual skill with photography.

Behold the infamous Quotes files. If you've ever said or written anything interesting, it might be in there somewhere.

Fulfilling the promise of the Web, TMI probably encompasses more than you really ever wanted or needed to know about me. What? You didn't know the Web was designed with Tarik-centric information exchange in mind? I thought our intentions were clear.

If you recognize the name, Wild Dog Pizza, then it's most likely that you (and I) should thank Liquid Television and Cut-Up Camera. That having been established, the original version of what you see before you began as scrawlings in a spiral notebook back in 1989, shortly after I began high school. What was briefly known as "Poetry and Power Tools" was a journal full of poems, artwork, and pre-adolescent rants on various and sundry topics. After the first notebook outlived its usefulness, the content was migrated to a three-ring binder, where I changed the name as it began to grow and prosper.

In 1993, I attempted the first web version of Wild Dog Pizza, and I'll be the first to admit that it was complete and utter crap. HTML was not ready for the way I wanted to display it (and at this point the purist in me feels compelled to interject with nor was HTML intended to be used in such a manner), so my attempts at it never really satisfied me. I stopped maintaining it in 1995 or so while I did my part to mold HTML standards, and for years it was a dead project. In 1997, just looking at it was an embarrassment to me - and I knew that I would hear no end to the well-deserved criticism (and perhaps pokes in the eye with sharp sticks) if anyone I knew in the W3C or the HTML Writers Guild happened upon it - so I took it offline, not having enough spare time even to work on my main site.

In 2001, I still don't have enough spare time to do this, but regardless, here it is. Enjoy.
